To the Republican Party: We The People will accept no RINOs

They’re all Snakes

Posted by nomorerinosever on June 6, 2010

Once again, I was thinking about Tim D’Annunzio and the attacks he and his family has had to endure.  I thought about the people doing this to them.  I’ve always called these kinds of people “Suits”. Those we all encounter, those who throughout your life you meet who think they are just too good for you. Then I thought further. I came to the conclusion that they are worse than “Suits”.  They are “Snakes in Suits”.

Since I’ve already wasted enough of my valuable time and consideration on these snakes, I decided to concentrate on Tim. It made me think also of his successes and where he has brought his life to. It turns out, he’s a snake too.  But Tim’s a snake of another variety.

So I starting reading about snakes.  It fits Mr. D’Annunzio perfectly.

“The snake shedding his skin permits replacement of old worn out skin, disposal of parasites and allows the snake to grow.”

Isn’t this conversion?  Isn’t this precisely what happens when you take Jesus Christ into your heart and the Word of God into your life and live their principles?  Isn’t this what Tim experienced over a decade and a half ago when he turned to the Lord?

Then, as coincidences occur in life, while I was sitting home on a short vacation, I turned on the radio to listen to conservative talk radio. As I was pushing the seek button, it stopped on a religion program.

As I’ve stated in past posts, I am not a religious person. However, what they were talking about made me stop and listen. The speaker was talking about how when we don’t have God’s direction, when we don’t read and follow his Word, we open ourselves to transgressions.  Then he spoke about the hierarchial path of this.  He said we sin, then we rationalize that sin. Next comes defending the sin and ourselves. When we find we have to defend our wrongdoings, we then become hardheaded.  When all these things are happening then we make ungodly choices.  Ungodly choices then gives you unintended consequences of which there are many. Regardless of what those unintended consequences are or how  many, it comes down to one word: L-O-S-S

He also stated that once you realize this, you will see that the only path to overcoming this loss, and in achieving true happiness and forgiveness is taking Jesus into your life, reading the Word of God and putting into practice its teachings.  He also said that if others are still unforgiving or judgmental of you or your past actions, they cannot call themselves true Christians, that they are called by other words: “shallow” or “hypocrits”.  They are not living the Word of God. They lack the depth of knowledge, emotion and intellect in the true meaning of being saved or what the Word of God teaches Christians they must do.  Therefore, they are the ones that follow the path of how this all started. They open themselves to transgressions and follow the same broken path as the person they are denigrating did.  The denigration in itself is one of the sins, in essence, the first one on that broken path they are now following.  They in turn, hopefully, will then also come to realize the unintended consequence: LOSS.

One can only hope they will then see the err of their ways and judgmental hypocrisy and change direction, as well.

The speaker then ended with parts of Psalm 119. These are the verses he ended with (132-176) as they contain those verses that exemplifies man’s judgment but also serves to remind us of hope, forgiveness and the eternal reward promised to the faithful.

132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

134 Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

136 Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments.

138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.

144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O LORD: I will keep thy statutes.

146 I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies.

147 I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy word.

148 Mine eyes prevent the night watches, that I might meditate in thy word.

149 Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.

150 They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.

152 Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

153 Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

154 Plead my cause, and deliver me: quicken me according to thy word.

155 Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

156 Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.

158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.

159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.

160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

162 I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

163 I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

166 LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.

168 I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

169 Let my cry come near before thee, O LORD: give me understanding according to thy word.

170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

171 My lips shall utter praise, when thou hast taught me thy statutes.

172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

173 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

174 I have longed for thy salvation, O LORD; and thy law is my delight.

175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

The “Snakes in Suits” and others’ forgiveness is not the forgiveness a Christian seeks and must have. He only needs the forgiveness of the Lord and his final judgment will come upon his death by God, and not the shallow, hypocritical minds of men.

Thank you Mr. D’Annunzio for not bending to the will of others in the Republican Party. Thank you for refusing to stop speaking of your love of God, even though your opponent is keeping silent about his. Thank you for not faltering in your faith, telling the teachings of the Word of God and following its principles.  The Lord’s final judgment will be your reward.

Lastly, when I was trying to find words to bring this altogether with the snake personification idea, and as a seeker of knowledge, I looked up “describe” “commonality” and “share traits”.  I finally laughed as what did I find? I got articles on this: “Serial killers and Politicians share traits”.

So now, be doubly aware of those other snakes: Snakes in suits

The past day has been very emotional with Chris Barton and some of the emails I have had today. You are a light to our path. Thank you for a very thoughtful and concise presentation of the condition of our struggle for and having the guts to say what it is.
